The PS private terminals
PS invented the modern private terminal at LAX in 2017. Four are open today (Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas Fort Worth and Miami), all to one standardised rate: a shared Salon from $1,295 a guest, or a Private Suite at $4,950 for up to four, on any airline and in any cabin. Paris Charles de Gaulle, its first in Europe, is announced for 2027.
PS is the name most Americans mean by "private terminal". The locations are deliberately identical (book one and you know the others), so the only real question is which city you're flying from. Here is the network, the standardised rate, and what every visit includes.

Is there a private terminal at LAX for normal commercial flights?
Yes. PS at LAX sits about two miles from the main airport, with its own TSA screening and US immigration. You wait in a private suite or the shared salon, then a car takes you across the tarmac to the aircraft door; solo guests ride in a BMW 7 Series. Is PS at LAX worth the money?
That depends on what the queues cost you. The Salon is $1,295 a guest; the Private Suite is $4,950 for up to four, which works out under $1,250 a head with a full party. For that you skip the public security hall and the immigration queue entirely, your bags are handled, and you board from a car at the aircraft door. The flight. The rate buys the terminal, not the ticket; you book your seat separately with your airline, and nothing changes on board. At LAX, guests must be 21 or over. PS staff check your bags with your airline, but non-members pay a processing fee for it. Membership is never required; it only lowers the per-visit price.
